This year’s Copa America final is already different from the past two editions—in 2015 and 2016—in that Chile and Argentina haven’t made it. Peru and Brazil made it by beating those teams in the semifinals and will now meet in the finals at the famed Maracanã in Rio de Jaon Sunday. Brazil hasn’t made the finals since 2007, and for Peru, it’s been considerably longer: since 1975.

Brazil, as hosts, were favorites going into the tournament, even though the team’s captain and most recognizable star, Neymar, sat out due to injury. Plenty of other world-class players have stepped up in his stead, and they dispatched Argentina’s arguably more talented lineup with relative ease. Peru, a surprise to get this far, follow their success of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup—their first appearance on that global stage in 36 years—by making the South American final they’d missed for an even longer epoch.

Here’s everything you need to know to watch Brazil vs. Peru at the 2019 Copa America finals.

Brazil vs. Peru: What to look for

When comparing lineups for star power, Brazil’s the clear favorite, starting with the two goal scorers in the semifinal match against Argentina. Gabriel Jesus was a key member of the Manchester City team that captured a domestic treble (that’s the Premier League title, FA Cup, and League Cup), while Roberto Firmino helped lead Liverpool to a Champions League trophy, taking the Premier League race to the final day. Expect them—along with Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho and Chelsea’s Willian—to have prime roles in front of a friendly home crowd.

Peru may be an underdog, but they’re enjoying a bit of a golden age in their recent soccer successes. MLS fans may recognize some of the Peruvian players: Raul Ruidiaz features for the Sounders, Andy Polo is in the Timbers’ mix of attackers, and Alexander Callens is part of the NYCFC back line, while Yoshi Yotun, who scored in the semifinal match against Chile, moved to his current Cruz Azul club from Orlando City SC.

As Peru’s proven in the tournament, they have the mettle to survive penalty kicks should they get it to that place. That could be their best chance at a title, though as the match with Chile showed, they can more than just compete against the cream of the South American crop.
