Move over, vloggers. Comedian Jack Black just launched a new YouTube channel dedicated to “games, food, and life.”

Black announced the new venture, called “Jablinski Games,” in the channel’s first video on Friday.

“This is my new YouTube channel Jablinski,” he says. “It’s going to be bigger than Ninja. It’s going to be bigger than PewDiePie.”

The School of Rock actor noted in a pinned comment on the video that the driving force behind the channel was his son, who is “holding me hostage and I can’t be tracer,” referencing a popular meme from the video app TikTok.

“I just want to clarify that there is no production behind this,” Black states. “This is all my son. He’s holding me hostage and I can’t be Tracer. Help…”

The influence of Black’s 12-year-old son, who is shooting, editing, and directing the videos, can be seen throughout the 30-second teaser, which is full of other in-jokes.

Sitting in YouTuber PewDiePie’s infamous $400 gaming chair, Black repeatedly showcases the item’s reclining capabilities, a reference to the “But Can You Do This?” meme.

As noted by the Verge, the channel’s banner photo also shows Sakurai Kirby, a meme from the gaming community that refers to a “Google search for ‘Who created Kirby?‘”

The Tenacious D frontman previously stated in an interview on YouTube’s highly-popular H3 Podcast earlier this month that his son keeps him up-to-date on all things internet culture.

Black’s new video, which has been viewed nearly 1.4 million times at the time of publication, has been well-received thus far. While the YouTube creator community often pushes back against channels run by Hollywood actors, Black appears to be an outlier.

The channel is scheduled to upload one new video every Friday and has so far amassed more than 400,000 subscribers.
