Chances are, you haven’t received proper training since you were a lifeguard in high school.

Fortunately, for emergency situations that could happen any ordinary day, YouTube has plenty of helpful tutorials. These instructionals videos might just save your life—or someone else’s.

1) Performing CPR

This training video expands upon the basic chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation that is popular in movies and TV. Learn the proper order in which to administer CPR, signs to look for, and what exactly each maneuver accomplishes.

2) Performing the Heimlich maneuver

While the facial expressions made by the actors in this video are anything but believable, the tips are absolutely perfect. Learn little-known facts about the proper way to prevent someone from choking, including getting the individual onto his or her feet and what to do in the case of a pregnant woman

3) Treating a severe burn

8) How to treat someone having a seizure

Seizures can unexpectedly strike for any number of reasons. While the victim in this video is obviously stifling laughter as he undergoes the least plausible seizure ever recorded, the tips that are shared are nevertheless extremely valuable.
