Time is a flat circle, and so is The Sandlot.
This was proven once again when Sandlot actors Thomas Guiry (Scotty Smalls) and Patrick Renna (Hamilton “Ham” Porter) apparently happened upon a man wearing a “You’re killing me, Smalls” shirt while walking in Manhattan. According to Renna’s tweet, the man wearing the shirt with the 1993 movie’s iconic line on it apparently didn’t recognize the actors.

The baseball movie turned 25 this year, so it’s possible this man really “had no idea,” but the replies to Renna’s tweets are filled with parents claiming their kids definitely know about the movie. Elsewhere, people pointed out Renna’s other great shirt moment: the 1993 Pauly Shore movie Son in Law.

Renna can currently be seen in season 2 of Netflix’s GLOW. Guiry was recently in Brawl in Cell Block 99.
