The creator of a 2006 video résumé that spread around the Internet like wildfire and brought the Yale University alumnus fame, foils, and not too many friends has passed away, according to several sources who reported the news to IvyGate, a blog that covers happenings around the Ivy League.
Aleksey Vayner, whose 2006 video résumé “Impossible Is Nothing” was dubbed “The Resume Mocked ‘Round the World” by the New York Times for the way it found the Yale student carrying out such superhuman feats as bench pressing 495 pounds, serving a tennis ball 140 miles per hour, and karate chopping through seven bricks, reportedly died on the morning of Jan. 19 in Queens, New York. He was 29.
According to a spokeswoman from the New York City Medical Examiner’s office, a cause of death has yet to be determined.
Vayner passed away Saturday morning after an adulthood spent distancing himself from the identity of the man who made the “Impossible is Nothing” video. He changed his name to Alex Stone last April.
According to LinkedIn, Stone was working on the value investing journal at QuickPayPro.com at the time of his death. Prior to that, he’d worked with Hilbert Technology, Morgan Stanley, and the Tomkin Real Estate Group.
