Butch Hartman, creator of long-running Nickelodeon show The Fairly OddParents, has announced plans for a new streaming venture.

Hartman posted a video on Monday, catching fans up with his post-Nickelodeon plans. Many streaming platforms just don’t have face recognition, Hartman said, but he wants to change that and make it (and himself) more accessible, delivering content directly to the consumer.

A Kickstarter for the project just launched, and in another video he shouts out his actual family before stating that he wants to make quality family programming, not stuff that will terrify or “shock” children. The name of the venture, Oaxis—a combination of oasis and axis—sounds more like a prescription drug than a venue for children’s programming, but Hartman goes on to say it will also host subscribers’ personal videos, giving it a YouTube feel. But that uploaded content must pass the “Oaxis filter.”

Hartman didn’t offer up any potential Oaxis programming, but assured there will be sitcoms, dramas, animation, and reality shows.

The Fairly OddParents was canceled in February, although it’s not entirely clear if it was canceled five times.
