2018 has unarguably been an uplifting year for teens. Just when we thought they couldn’t possibly bounce back from Tide Pods, the tragedy in Parkland showed the strength and perseverance of its young survivors who came rising like a phoenix out of the ashes to spearhead the #NeverAgain movement. And while they may have a long road ahead of them, this generation of newly minted 18-year-olds will likely amass on the polls in November in a way we’ve never seen before. Make no mistake–change is coming, and we’ll soon have our teen overlords to thank for it.
So to celebrate these graduating seniors, what better way than to take a look at some of the best and brightest … yearbook quotes! Yearbook quotes have always been a platform for high school students to show off their creativity (not to mention comedic chops), and this latest crop is no exception.
Senior Jacob Jordan did a spoof on a Bible verse:

Others found ways to work in their favorite pop culture references, such as this pitch-perfect Stranger Things callback.

One thing I’ll never understand is today’s teens’ obsession with Friends, but heck, if they enjoy it, more power to them.
the one (1) good thing about my school is the fact that we get senior quotes. pic.twitter.com/Pa6hS8fgxW

Sure, this one may be the same as a viral quote from last year, but what can I say, I admire her moxie.

School administrators likely had no idea—no idea!—that this was a reference to a dirty Vine.

But if I had to declare a winner here, I give it to this cancer survivor who clearly hasn’t lost his sense of humor.
My son fought cancer in the 10th grade and survived! 🎗I just assumed his senior quote would be deep and thought provoking. WRONG 😂 #satchat #SaturdayMotivation #classof2018 #seniorquote #Sen18r #yearbook pic.twitter.com/wD8PWEPsAE
