Last week, promo for a new film called Little Italy appeared online. Hayden Christensen and Emma Roberts are involved, as are Andrea Martin and Danny Aiello. That’s already a head-scratcher of a cast, but people got really invested in figuring out what exactly this movie was, why it was, and what year it is supposed to be released.

However, with some quick Googling and preserved pop-culture knowledge, it was soon discovered that this is some sort of Mystic Pizza follow-up, though people born after 1988 might not know about the Julia Roberts film. Little Italy is also directed by Donald Petrie, director of Miss Congeniality, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and… Mystic Pizza!

Yes, yes it is. The film, which centers around a couple (Roberts and Christensen) navigating a romance “amidst a war between their families’ competing pizza restaurants,” might have gone unnoticed if the internet’s irony sensor hadn’t gone off, but now people are invested.
