It’s the 10-year anniversary of the historical Bruno Mars and Pete Wentz pic

Of all the gin joints in the world…

Back in 2008, Bruno Mars was just a regular guy walking down the street when someone snapped a pic of Fall Out Boy‘s Pete Wentz on their digital camera.

Starstruck, he turned around and stared at Wentz, who kept his cool for the camera. The result is one of the most iconic pics in celebrity history: a future pop star photobombing another pop star. Because it was 2008, the camera left a permanent, yellow date stamp in the bottom right corner of the image, and it just so happens that Sunday was the 10-year anniversary of the photo being taken.

Mars has obviously gone on to have an enormous music career—he’s racked up 10 Grammys to date—but the internet will always fondly remember him as the smiling guy in a fedora.

Mars and Wentz have yet to address the internet’s field day with the photo. But last year, Mars told iHeartRadio that his look of shock stems from the fact that a paparazzi photog had just pushed him out of the way to get the photo of Wentz.

It’s important to celebrate history.

Update 12:19pm CT, April 30: Wentz tweeted about the photo on Monday.
