Six guys in Ohio want $6 million from LeBron James and his mother after claiming that they christened the Miami Heat basketball star so that he would grow up to be the next Julius “Dr. J’ Erving.

The men are claiming that James’ mother Gloria made a handshake agreement stating “when Lebron became an NBA star that she would see to it that each person who participated in [the] Dr. J christening would be made a millionaire.”

“We’re not trying to say that the christening made you the great basketball player you are,” one of the men, Raymone, said to James in a video posted to his YouTube channel. “But who gets to say that it didn’t?”

In the video, posted Wednesday with the title “Lebron’s 6 Million Dollar Dr J Christening,” four of the six men involved stand in a parking lot and recount their understandings of the alleged agreement they made with Mrs. James.

“I remember playing with LeBron,” one man says. “His hands were so big as a baby that we christened him the next Dr. J.”

Two of the men are holding signs. One says “Gloria James, You and LeBron owe us 6 MILLION DOLLARS! Remember Lebron’s Dr. J “Christening” and the Agreement we made? I’ll even take a POLYGRAPH!!!.” The other says “Hey LeBron, Check out the YouTube video “LeBron’s Cosmic Connection“. PLEASE call me ASAP.”

Neither of the signs included a phone number.

On Aug. 20, 2011, Raymone posted a 15-minute video detailing the “cosmic connection” that LeBron James shares with Julius Erving and boxing legend Muhammad Ali. He did not return a request for comment.

“The brother was articulate, good looking, well dressed,” Raymone said of Ali. “He had all the endorsements at the time: Converse, Chap Stick.”

No telling how likely LeBron James is to hand $6 million to these bold fortune tellers. The high-flying power forward has not yet returned a Daily Dot request for comment.
