It’s a big week for snowboarders in Pyeongchang at the 2018 Winter Olympics. First, Chloe Kim became the youngest woman ever to win an Olympic snowboarding medal with her gold at the halfpipe. And now Slovenia’s Tit Stante is making waves with a message about Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill.
Mill is serving two years in jail for a parole violation dating back to a crime he committed when he was 18 years old. The rapper is 30 now, and some in the hip-hop community have criticized the judge’s sentence as too harsh a punishment considering how long he’s been on parole. Last November, Jay-Z wrote an op-ed for the New York Times about Mill’s predicament, calling it “just one example of how our criminal justice system entraps and harasses hundreds of thousands of black people every day.”
The hashtag #FreeMeekMill has been making the rounds since, especially following the Philadelphia Eagles’ win at the Super Bowl this month. But it made an unexpected appearance on the snowboard of the 19-year-old Slovenian snowboarder on Tuesday:

Stante hasn’t given any further comment yet, but it’s safe to say who his favorite rapper might be.
He joins a growing roster of celebs who have shown support for Mill, including Kevin Hart and T.I.
