NBA star Blake Griffin was traded from Los Angeles Clippers to Detroit Pistons on Monday. It was a shocking development: Griffin had just signed a five-year max contract in the offseason with Clippers, whose pitch included a staged ceremony of his number being retired in the Staples Center.
