It’s a dirty job, but somebody’s got to do it.
So give it up for Swedish artist Johan Thörnqvist’s tiny diver, the hardest working aquanaut in all of Alcoholia. Thörnqvist originally created a static illustration overlaid on an iPhone snap of his beer, as part of a series of artistically-enhanced iPhone photos. Its incongruous innocence gives the impression of a child’s picture book set in a wholesome bar, the kind of place you could meet Paddington Bear and those kids from Narnia for a pint.
Then the MadeByABVH artist on Tumblr turned it into this adorkable GIF (a previous effort is here), which was discovered by King of the Interwebs Wil Wheaton, and thus instantly launched to greatness.
It has 13,614 notes and counting, and TGIF once again. Cheers!
