Apparently, Vimeo user BLion had a similar vision. His 10-month-old video “Pencilhead HQ” reached Reddit’s front page Wednesday.

The video features an array of hand-drawn cartoons running, jumping, and flying through a black-and-white fantasy world. The four-minute-long clip is set to Fatboy Slim’s “Right Here, Right Now” and has collected more than 36,000 plays.

On Reddit, the hivemind quickly figured where each character in the video originally came from. Sources ranged from the anime series Ponyo and Pink Floyd’s The Wall to the baseball player from Salvador Dali’s short film “Destino.” (A more complete list of references can be seen here.)
