BoJack Horseman production designer Lisa Hanawalt has a deep admiration for horses. When season 2 of the Netflix series debuted in 2015, she told the Daily Dot that her fixation blossomed after taking riding lessons as a kid: “I was one of those crazy horse girls. I’m at my most earnest when I’m talking about horses. I just think they’re really special.”
So I stopped dead in my scroll when I came across her tweet about Roy Moore riding a horse named Sassy to vote in Tuesday’s Alabama Senate election. It wasn’t the first time Moore’s done this, but it is something to behold.

Sure, the horse was probably like, “I didn’t know there were going to be cameras here.” It can be forgiven for being skittish. But can Moore be forgiven for his Weekend At Bernie’s-esque stiffness? (Or all the other things he has allegedly said and done?) Hanawalt expanded on her tweet, and joined a chorus of other horse-lovers miffed about his terrible form:
