YouTube announced a new feature Monday morning that will allow users to include links to their crowdsourced, fundraising campaigns on their videos.
Many Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns use YouTube as a promotional tool. This new option is intended to streamline the process.
Two campaigns have already implemented the new feature.
Dan Dobi is looking to create a feature-length documentary on a select group of YouTube stars through Kickstarter.
Likewise, Rebekah Borucki is raising money to create a school for sustainable living through Indiegogo.
You will notice that a link leading to the respective campaigns appears within a few seconds in each video.
Users can now simply open Annotations tab under the Video Manager option to link their campaign to their YouTube videos. This could be the start of a beautiful relationship.
