Shaky, dark YouTube videos were awesomely cool and authentic … in 2006. Now the site is giving people tools to fix their clips.

Mountain bikers, acrobats, and spelunkers will all now have an easier time sharing videos online without inducing Cloverfield-style nausea in viewers. YouTube’s latest addition to its video editor reduces shakiness and adds light to an uploaded video.

When a user uploads a video whose quality can be improved, YouTube will now automatically ask the user if he or she wants added stabilization and light.
