If your letter correspondence has fallen by the wayside thanks to that new iPad you bought, you’ll now be able to have your tweets turned into prose by an enterprising individual.
For a fee, you can receive a humorous type-written letter every month. Each letter will be customized based on what you’ve written in your tweets The resulting letter will be posted by snail mail.
The project was dreamt up by Len Kendall, the guy who proposed to his girlfriend on BuzzFeed. He admits that he started the project to recoup the costs of purchasing the fully restored Remington Model S typewriter, which he says was expensive, and to “bring a smile to a few people’s faces.”
Kendall says he’ll post the best of each month’s letters online, and he may add “a doodle or an interesting item that I find” occasionally. Thus far, only five people have signed up for the subscription service ($5 per month).
In addition to being an extremely active tweeter and cofounder of the3six5, Kendall is a graduate of Chicago’s Second City comedy writing program, so the chances are the letters will be pretty funny.
