“What a Strange Afternoon” comes from a strange Tumblr indeed—Un gif dans ta gueule, which very roughly translates to “wash your mouth out with this GIF.”

An eclectic, GIF-focused site, the blog tends to feature interesting, absurdist takes on mostly historical images. This image of an entire squadron of pastel paper planes in a jumbled formation flying through an enormous sewer is a refreshing thought in a sometimes too sterile world. So far it’s collected 2286 notes in five days.
