Former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer crashed Stephen Colbert‘s Emmys monologue Sunday to roast his former boss, President Donald Trump.

“This will be the largest audience to witness an Emmys, period, both in person and around the world,” Spicer said, hearkening back to his January press conference where he indirectly coined the phrase “alternative facts”—and argued with reporters about the president’s inauguration crowd.

Melissa McCarthy, who famously impersonated Spicer on Saturday Night Live, was in shock when Spicer made his cameo.

The 45-year-old Massachusetts Republican left the Trump White House in July.
