For the second time in four days, President Donald Trump visited Texas, a week after Hurricane Harvey decimated the Gulf Coast and Houston. Asked by reporters about his trip, Trump said, via CBS News, “things are working out well … Families are happy. As tough as this was, it’s been a wonderful thing.”

Not everybody, though, was pleased by Trump’s words.
MSNBC correspondent Garrett Haake tweeted the following as Trump met with evacuees.

And Twitter got upset to see Haake compare Trump to a kindly grandfather.
This tweet has elicited responses comparing Trump to Hitler, Stalin and Satan, and several calling for me to be fired. Thanks everyone.

Trump closed his shelter interview by telling the reporters to have fun. Guess we’re lucky he didn’t congratulate anyone for getting famous.

Either way, Trump’s visit appears to have a much different feel than his mid-week visit to Texas when he admired the crowd size at the spot he spoke and discussed his theory that Harvey seemed like such an innocent name. Nearly 50 people in Texas have reportedly died from the hurricane.
Asked about the families he saw at the shelter on Saturday, Trump said, “They were just happy—a lot of happiness.”
