In Star Trek’s future, reading makes a big comeback. Be prepared with these excellent Star Trek book or two. They’re just as engrossing as the sci-fi franchise.
1) 50 artists celebrate a half-century of Trek
Published just in time for Trek’s 50th anniversary last year, CBS commissioned artists from around the world to commemorate the series. This compendium contains posters, photos, comic strips, and even textiles to celebrate Trek’s Golden Anniversary. The perfect coffee table book for your ready room (or to add to your Star Trek book collection).

2) Share in the plight of (and cackle at) brave redshirts
On Captain Kirk’s Enterprise, nobody has it worse than red shirts. Whether they know it or not, they’re disposable, usually just there to introduce whatever danger the bridge crew will face in an episode. Redshirt’s Little Book of Doom is an adorable picture book that depicts a red shirt enduring whatever a harsh galaxy can deal him.

Everything is covered, from its post-apocalyptic beginnings to first contact and the trials of the diplomats and explorers born under its flag.
