The Daily Dot recently put a bow on our first annual Twelve Days of Etsy series, where we profiled some of our favorite holiday sellers.
Even though it’s the busiest time of the year for all of them, these sellers took a moment from crafting, packing and shipping to talk to us about their most memorable seasonal orders. Here’s the complete list of stories.
1) Letters from Santa Mail Express
We began our series with Angelia’s story. This crafter found a way to make her own Christmas magical by crafting personalized letters from Santa for disenfranchised children.
2) Charlotte and Mia’s Hannukah Gifts
This shop’s personalized dreidels and plates make Hanukkah special for children. But even as adults, we loved this Chicago shop’s charm.
3) Wreaths from Laurels by Laurie
Laurie’s silk floral wreaths will last all winter long. She’s best known for twisting her wreaths into heart shapes. It’s too late for Christmas sales—but there’s time left for Valentine’s Day orders.
4) Holiday dog toys by Such a Stitch
Keep Fido from getting into the holiday ham with a toy of his own. This seller, mom to two pooches, makes toys tough enough to withstand gnawing puppy teeth.
5) Woodland Tree Ornaments from Minibytes
Created by a Web developer who wanted to make something tangible, these nubby woodland animals are as appealing to the hand as to the eye.
6) Kwanzaa Kinaras from Heavenwood
Get in the spirit of Kwanzaa with a wooden kinara–– the menorah specific to the celebration. This husband and wife team create all their kinaras in their home studio.
7) Silk Flowers by Melrose Fields
This shop brings holiday florals and trees to those who are allergic to the real thing. For the truly busy person, Melrose Fields will even mail off a fully decorated faux Christmas tree.
8) Festive Soaps from So Stinking Sweet
We wouldn’t mind being called naughty if it meant somebody would buy us this shop’s sparkling, spice-scented coal soap. But we’d also settle for soap snowballs or goat’s milk peppermint bark.
9) Man vs. George Greeting Cards
We call this Wisconsin shop the “anti-Hallmark” because its designer, Ryan, isn’t afraid to deal with edgy themes. We love his clean, modern lines and minimalistic style.
10) Sam’s Naturals’ Skincare Products for Men
This New Hampshire shop cultivates products designed with a man’s skin in mind. They’ve also made sure their all-natural products are the perfect salve for Leukemia patients.
11) Emily Hogarth’s Fanciful Paper Designs
We loved this graphic designer’s Celtic and Scottish inspired greeting cards and wrapping paper. Her digital design all originate from old fashioned cut paper and scissors.
Wrapping up the list are some alternate material wreaths from two sisters in Ontario. Their speedy express shipping dates helped us decide to save the best for last.
