In keeping with aesthetic, the Stranger Things season 1 soundtrack is getting a cassette release.
And, going a little too far with aesthetic, the release will only be available via nostalgia merchants Urban Outfitters.
The two-volume soundtrack was released digitally last fall and on vinyl earlier this year, but ahead of season 2 of the Netflix series, the series is doubling down on mood lighting with cassettes that will be packaged to look like VHS tapes, naturally.
The cassette will be available on July 14, to mark the anniversary of the show’s premiere. Reports from the season 2 set promise darker content and a new monster.
Urban Outfitters is currently being sued (again) for copyright infringement.
