If you were already pearl-clutching at the sight of a nipple, then this new cancer-screening video featuring singing breasts (with teeth!) will probably permanently stain your virgin eyes.
Movimiento Ayuda Cáncer de Mama (MACMA), an Argentine organization dedicated to breast cancer research, posted the goofy ad with the serious message in response to social media platforms, like Instagram, censoring female nipples—even in instructional images and videos for at-home breast exams and cancer awareness.
“It’s time to speak louder than censorship,” the English version, called “Everyone Loves Boobs,” of the original video opens, before going into the breast-adoration show tune.
“#EverybodyLovesBoobs that’s why we have to take care of them,” the text below the video explains, with a link to donate to MACMA.
Early detection is greatly important considering one in eight women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime, and 250,000 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer this year.
