Drones can be a nuisance, especially when they’re crashing into people or when other countries simply take them from you. Or when they’re just flying around outside your house.
So, what’s the solution when they’re hovering around your backyard, potentially watching you go about your day?
1) Yell at it in frustration?
2) Throw rocks at it?
3) Take your gun out and threaten to fire a shot?
4) All of the above?
If you’re the woman in the video below, 4 is the correct answer. In a video apparently taken this week in Bellevue, Washington, watch as this drone gets the hell out of town when she pulls out what appears to be a shotgun and takes aim.
This is not the first time a person has used firearms to take down a drone. Last August, a Virginia woman shot down a drone that was hovering above the home of actor Robert Duvall before moving onto her property.
“They were going a little too fast and they went over my airspace,” the woman from Virginia said at the time. “I had my .20-gauge there, so I put two 71/2 birdshot shells in it, and there you are.”
So, let this be a lesson to drone operators everywhere. If your drove hovers over the wrong property, there’s a chance somebody might try to use lethal force to take it down.
