A left-wing conspiracy theorist on X has taken a page from the QAnon playbook by accusing Vice President JD Vance of being a pedophile.

And liberals are buying the completely unevidenced claim.

In a viral post to X on Tuesday, a self-described “Unrivaled Democratic Activist” named Andrew, who boasts nearly 254,000 followers, responded to Vance’s defense of wrongfully deporting a Maryland man to El Salvador by accusing him of abusing children.

“.@JDVance: You changed your name three times because you kept getting caught raping children in the Ohio Valley,” Andrew wrote. “And I have witnesses who can and will testify against you on this. I cannot wait to put you in prison for the rest of your life you sick fuck.”

The tirade has already been liked 165,000 times and has over 12 million views.

It is clearly similar to claims made by the right-wing QAnon movement, which believes President Donald Trump is secretly battling a cabal of child-eating pedophiles comprised of prominent liberals.

In subsequent posts, Andrew thanked X users for spreading his unfounded claim before promoting a video detailing his beliefs.

“These people are fucking gross and have been covering their tracks very well, but it’s all a stack of cards that’s about to fall,” Andrew added. “Please check out my most recent space where I talk about it.”

The X user also mentioned QAnon by name before arguing that conservatives only spread the debunked theory to shift the blame off themselves.

“They posit that ‘Democrats’ are ‘a cabal of satan-worshipping pedophiles who drink the blood of children,’” Andrew wrote. “So that’s what they are. I’m not sure about the blood-drinking but the rest checks out. They already worship the literal anti-Christ (Trump).”

But it wasn’t just Vance who was targeted. Andrew also aimed at Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), accusing him, without evidence, of similarly harming children.

“I also spoke to a witness who confirmed that @SpeakerJohnson (real name Jimmy Johnson) is a pedophile who PURCHASES his male children for sex,” Andrew continued. “Yes. He’s had at least three ‘sons’ that he purchased for sex. Including his current one. These people all need to rot in jail forever.”

In the replies, many users were skeptical while also entertaining the baseless claim.

“Wouldn’t surprise me if true and if it is I hope it’s brought to light and we take this mf down,” one user wrote.

Others asked for evidence of the claim, leading Andrew to state that doing so would endanger his “sources.”

“I can’t do that without jeopardizing my sources and inviting them harm, which I refuse to do,” he replied. “I invite anyone to look into my track record of lying/posting knowingly false information and compare it to anyone else’s before deciding whether I can be believed.”

Many leftists, however, alluded to the BlueAnon movement in discussing the thread. BlueAnon, a play on the term QAnon, is used to describe anti-Trump liberals prone to conspiracy theories, such as the claim that the president staged his own assassination attempt or is a secret Russian spy.

“Lib Q just dropped???” one user asked.

Many also jokingly suggested that the claim might be valid given that Andrew’s post had not been fact-checked by X.

“No community note,” one user said.

While it’s unclear how many actual people believe Andrew’s claim, the conspiracy theory has gone massively viral nonetheless.
