AĀ PSAĀ aboutĀ how to check for credit card skimmers at the gas pumpĀ isĀ getting a ton of attentionĀ online.

The video has amassed overĀ 591,400 viewsĀ and was uploaded by TikToker FLM FLIGHT (@flm_flight). In the video, a manĀ demonstrated what gas station customers should doĀ toĀ avoid falling victim to the scam.

ā€œPOV: You checking the card reader to make sure you donā€™t get scammed,ā€ text overlaid on the clip read.

According to the FBI, criminals sometimesĀ illegally install devices on ATMs, fuel pumps, or other point-of-sale terminalsĀ that capture the credit card information of any card inserted into the machine. The machine wirelesslyĀ sends the stolen data back to criminals, and the information is then used toĀ illegally make credit card purchases.
