Women’s magazines typically offer somewhat useful tips on buying the best low-cal potato chips, decorating small spaces and handling (chicken) breasts.

Love It! magazine doesn’t even do that much—and the clever types at Life! Death! Top Tips! have noticed.

The Tumblr blog mocks the lame tips readers send in to Love It!, Chat, and other British magazines of its ilk. The blog’s title clearly mocks the breathless headlines splashed across it, like “I hired a hit man to kill me!”

So what kind of tips do readers take time out of their obviously not-busy days to submit? Wearing allegedly funny hats to scare off intruders or tacking detergent lids onto dressers to give it a “funky” new look.

The blog’s editor adds his or her own two pence with snarky comments in a dry British voice. A reader submitted a tip about turning pajamas into shorts for their nephew. Top Tips mused: “Michael, 20, has never known the touch of a woman.”

While you might think it’s a genius idea to plaster magazine clippings on your window—it isn’t. And Top Tips will judge you.
