Where does acclaimed actor Robert De Niro stand on wanting to punch Donald Trump in the face?

During a Friday morning visit to The View, he assured us he still wants to, but maybe not literally. It was just something Trump needed to hear.

Host Joy Behar brought up De Niro’s past comments about Trump, which were left out of a Get Out the Vote video last fall. De Niro, who was there to promote latest film The Comedian, held fast to those comments, though clarified that it was “symbolic”: “Sometimes when people are bullies like that, that’s what you have to do is shut them up, bully them back.”

On the eve of Trump’s inauguration, De Niro attended a NYC protest and read fake Trump tweets directed at his career, which were pretty spot-on.
