We’re almost a month into 2016, and it doesn’t much matter what’s happened to you personally in the last 19 days– globally, a vast sigh of relief has been exhaled that 2015 is done and put to bed.
It was a year of embarrassments, a year in which reality and absurdity blurred, and a year in which we basically had to figure things out again from scratch. 2015 was hard, full of false starts, and just generally a super bummer.
Nothing exemplifies that year-long struggle more than this video—a veritable YouTube sleeper cell—of Dot the ferret trying to jump from a young boy’s head onto a dresser and having a very hard time doing so.
What was on the dresser, Dot? A new lease on life? A viable presidential candidate? A refund for the Entourage movie? Answers to season one of Serial? We’ll all find out together—on top of this shiny new dresser I like to call 2016.
