Selfies are a rite of passage in any new, young relationship, and college student Emily Musson was all too eager to share photos of her budding romance with a guy named Johnny. But when Musson’s parents caught wind of the snaps, they decided to have a little fun.
Perhaps too much fun.
Her parents, Nancy and Craig, are the ultimate trolls: they took their daughter’s selfies with Johnny and recreated them. Then they posted their own duckface-laden versions of the photos to Facebook for all the world to see.
In most cases, this would be completely mortifying. But Musson didn’t seem at all surprised by her parents’ troll-y move.

Twitter is for doxxing your parents, right?
But Musson isn’t entirely sure why her tweet, which has been retweeted 50,000 times, is getting so much attention. She told Cosmopolitan.com, “When it went viral I was confused. Like, yeah, it’s funny but, like, it’s more interesting if you actually know my parents.”
And Nancy and Craig, unsurprisingly, are enjoying their small dose of social media superstardom. “My mom thinks it’s hilarious and claims she wants to be on Dancing With the Stars,” Musson said.
Great parents. Great trolls.
