It’s always easier to find a job when you already have one, or so they say. But can you manage to make the switch without your boss finding out?

LinkedIn announced Thursday that it had launched a feature called Open Candidates that “makes it easier to connect with your dream job by privately signaling to recruiters that you’re open to new job opportunities.” Though it’s available only to users in the U.S., U.K., Canada, and Australia, turning on the feature is as easy as flipping a toggle switch and filling in a few basic details about what you’re looking for and when you could start.

Simply click on the Preferences tab from your homepage to get started.

With more employees increasingly open to the idea of job-hopping instead of living a “career ladder mindset,” we can only assume this feature is about to become very popular.

There’s one potential catch: Though LinkedIn says it makes “every effort to hide you from Recruiter users who may also work at your current company,” it’s impossible to guarantee that a recruiter at an affiliate or with out-of-date contact info won’t sneak a peek and be able to tell your boss. So you’d better be sure your résumé is polished and ready to roll, just in case.

Or you can go back to hiding “HIRE ME” acrostics in your articles. No judgment.
