We can’t get enough of big cast reunions, but they tend to occur infrequently enough that they’re still pure joy when they do happen. And that’s very evident in the recent Will and Grace cast reunion 10 years after the show went off the air.
With only four main cast members to assemble (as opposed to Friends’ six), it may be a little easier to coordinate schedules. And this weekend, they made it happen: Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally, and Sean Hayes (Will, Grace, Karen, and Jack) were all in the same room—and it was wonderful.

They could’ve just shared the reunion on social media and left it at that, but as more photos surfaced online Sunday, it was evident that it wasn’t just a friendly photo-op for a nostalgia-obsessed culture. They’re clearly up to something—and plotting

At first, people believed a Will and Grace revival was in the works, but subsequent posts from Messing, Mullally, and Hayes are suggesting involvement of a sitcom even more beloved than Will and Grace.

Astute fans already noticed “Hot Food” on McCormack’s script, but the names—Lucy, Ethel, and Fred—allude that their reunion has something to do with I Love Lucy, which premiered 65 years ago on Oct. 15. There’s not enough info to say whether it’s a kind of special, live script reading, or perhaps even a reboot, but it would be interesting to see what comes out of it.
McCormack hasn’t posted his “Hot Food” photo, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it said “Ricky.”
Update 2:27pm CT, Sept. 26: McCormack, Messing, Mullally, and Hayes appear to confirm that Will and Grace is returning in a series of new tweets. A short teaser styled like a superhero movie spells out “Will & Grace is Back” in red lettering while a photo from Hayes is more blatant.
