Art typically inspires emotion or provokes deep questions about the world. Some art, however, strives to scare the living shit out of people and actually knock them to the floor, where they scramble to get away.

Erik Pirolt, an artist in Norway, sculpted a curious piece called “Do not look into the eyes.” Even with that name, people still took on the challenge and tried to stare down the man-like statue—and they all regretted it.
