History was made on Friday when the U.S. Supreme Court handed down a historic ruling that state-level bans on gay marriage are unconstitutional, making same-sex marriage legal in the Land of Liberty.
People instantly celebrated, hanging up their rainbow flags and sharing their excitement on social media. Soon same-sex couples will be getting hitched anywhere from gay ol’ West Hollywood in California to middle-of-nowhere Oklahoma. You know what that means: lots and lots of wedding ceremonies and receptions.
But what exactly does a gay wedding look like? Well, if you didn’t get invited to your college gay best friend’s wedding, don’t fret—we pulled together a comprehensive list of exactly what you’ll encounter at a fantabulous gay ceremony of matrimony:
1) Fork
2) Flowers
3) Shoe
4) Wine
5) Floor
6) Ring
7) Nose
8) Crouton
9) Love
