After two internationally heralded seasons, Netflix drama Narcos will get a third and fourth season.
Spoiler alert: This despite season 2—which premiered in full Labor Day weekend—wrapping Pablo Escobar’s (Wagner Moura) story arc and concluding with his death. Hey, people want their cartel dramas.
Season 3 is penciled in for next year.

While details like featured actors, storylines, and episode counts remain unclear, Jose Padilha and Eric Newman will continue as executive producers.
“Narcos is about cocaine and cocaine continues beyond Escobar,” Newman told the Hollywood Reporter. “I’ll go as long as they’ll let me go.”
Season 2 wrapped by spotlighting the Cali cartel and sets up a story about a real-life crime syndicate that dominated the world’s cocaine trade in the wake of Escobar’s 1993 death.
