Epic Rap Battles and ‘Oscar’s Hotel’ top Streamy nominations

Epic Rap Battles of History tied with PJ Ligouri’s New Form Digital series Oscar’s Hotel for Fantastical Creatures for the most 2016 Streamy Award nominations, announced on Wednesday.

The YouTube channel, run by Lloyd Ahlquist (EpicLLOYD) and Peter Shukoff (Nice Peter), and the series, which premiered on Vimeo On Demand in September 2015, garnered four nominations each.

The nominations for the sixth annual Streamy Awards were announced by YouTube stars GloZell Green, Andrea Russett, Brittany Furlan, Chester See, Lohanthony, and the Merrell Twins in Santa Monica, California.

Presented by Ownzones, the nominations announcement was livestreamed to GloZell’s YouTube Channel and embedded at www.streamys.org. The Streamy Awards go down Oct. 4.
