There are times when your child only wants to eat the birthday cake but not the frosting and you think to yourself, “What in the world is wrong with this little dude?” Sometimes your young daughter only eats the icing and leaves the rest of the cake for the trash, and you think, “This is no daughter of mine.”
That kind of thing happens all the time when you’re the parent of a toddler. But what would you do if you gave the kid a choice between cookies and beef broth and he picke the beef broth? Obviously you’d film it and show it to the world.
Amazing, right? Well, not quite. If you pay close attention, all of this makes sense.
The first clue that the little man would choose beef broth instead of sugary cookies is on the pajama top he’s wearing. Superman wouldn’t approve of cookies. He’d want anyone following in his footsteps to get big and strong by eating beef—and lots of it. We all know that.
See?
Of course it was the best meal he ever had. It was beef, for Krypton’s sake.
As for cookies, Google “Superman eating cookies” and see if anything worthwhile turns up. It won’t. Because if this little kid knows anything, it’s that the brilliant marketing campaign from the 1990s was the real answer this entire time.
Beef (broth): it’s what’s for dinner.
And for treats.
