It’s the year 1776. A group of men are congregated to sign the long-awaited Declaration of Independence, arguably the most noteworthy icon of U.S. freedom and liberty. Among the lads are the notorious Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, and John Adams, surrounded by 53 other signers present during this colossal moment of American history.

All of a sudden, a man storms in, loud as thunder. He is plagued with an orange fake tan and a gaudy “Make America Great Again” tricorn hat.
This man is Donald Trump.
Thanks to HuffPost Comedy‘s Stupor Tuesday, Twitter has collectively imagined a time and alternative universe where this could have happened—aka a time where Trump was hanging out with our Founding Fathers and signing a statement he would so obviously not sign.
