The abominable snowman is certainly a long way from Christmas Town.
People in Allouez, Wis. started to notice that someone dressed in an abominable snowman costume—specifically, Bumble from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer—was walking a poodle in the middle of a suburban neighborhood. Photos soon spread over social media, and eventually WLUK caught up with the yeti last week, a woman who only identified herself as Bumble.
With her dog Blizzard (Andy on most days) at her side, she only offered a single tidbit about where she was from in a marvelous display of method acting: Misfit Island. And instead of terrorizing the town or planning to eat any reindeer, she wanted to “bring joy, happiness” to Allouez.
Even with all of the double-takes from neighbors, it seems to be working.
