Finnish filmmakers add a chainsaw to a drone for fun

Only balloons can defeat this death device.

Two Finnish filmmakers have created their own Mister Handy, a la the Fallout franchise. They attached a chainsaw to a heavy duty (read: pricey) drone and somehow were able to rig it so that both the drone and the chainsaw were remote controlled. Of course they made a video for all to enjoy.

Once the #killerdrone is all fired up, it goes on a joyride dashing through the snow, slashing snowmen, and pointlessly destroying the tops of pine trees because there’s probably not much better to do in the Finnish countryside. It’s about as thrilling as busting up some Rust Devils, especially when you throw in the video’s oddly cinematic soundtrack.

Some have called foul on the #killerdrone, pointing out that the chain might be on backwards and that fancy camera work is to blame for this epic footage.

Notice how Fante247 doesn’t have a lick of fun in their life. The haters are probably the ones smirking when (spoiler alert) the drone comes crashing down after dancing above a gaggle of balloons and trying to destroy one for its grand finale.

They might be onto something, though. NoodleTail Films appears to be linked to Above the Fray Aerials, a drone and imaging company out of East Hampton, New York. Not a bad publicity stunt, especially if Above the Fray starts offering #killerdrone rentals.
