The selfie has become a staple of Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) culture—a reflection of the game’s outrageous, outlandish, over-the-top-hilarious aesthetic. It’s also a reflection of society’s sick obsession with itself, as we saw firsthand as a couple of tourists snapped a photo of themselves smiling last week. The photo was taken in front of a crowd that gathered after the Capitola woman rammed her car into a barricade.
