4chan is just as confused as the rest of the nation.

In the last four hours, 4chan, the “darkest corner of the web,” called the election for Hillary Clinton and prepared to the world’s tiniest violins. Posts calling the election for Clinton started rolling in around 5pm ET, ranging anywhere from angry to sorrowful for the anticipated loss of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

4chan users began changing their diagnoses, however, once the first rounds of polls closed, and Indiana and Florida began reporting positively for Trump.

Who’s to say if 4chan even legitimately believed that Clinton had won the election, or if they were just trolling to troll? At least a few of these sweet Pepes can sleep soundly tonight knowing that they “did their part” and voted for Trump, unlike their handful of acquaintances who somehow forgot to register.
