According to a Media Matters study, five national newspapers—the New York Times, the Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, and the Wall Street Journal—have published over 100 stories on the emails case, 46 of which were on the front page.

These five newspapers published a total of 68 articles related to Trump, but 19 of those also mentioned Clinton’s scandal. Here’s a breakdown based off of articles that made the front pages of publications:

  • The New York Times published 37 Clinton email articles on its front page, and only 13 Trump headlines made the front page.
  • The Washington Post published 26 Clinton email articles on its front page, and only 13 Trump headlines made the front page.
  • USA Today published 11 Clinton email articles on its front page, and only five Trump headlines made the front page.
  • The Los Angeles Times published eight Clinton email articles on its front page, and only four Trump headlines made the front page.
  • The Wall Street Journal published 11 Clinton email articles on its front page, and 12 Trump headlines made the front page, making it the lone outlier of the bunch.
