Instagram keeps coming out with more and more ways to edit and share your photos, and the latest update to the application brings two new features to make those tiny square photos just a little more edited.

You can now use Color and Fade tools. Fade is pretty self explanatory: It softens the colors of your image. Color changes the tone of the highlights and shadows in your photo. You can manipulate an image with yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, blue, cyan, or green hues.

It’s the latest update to give Instagram users more granular editing tools and control over their images. In December, Instagram unveiled more filters and a way to manage which filters you wanted displayed in the application. Last month, the company debuted Layout, an application that makes it simple to create collages and create artistically mirrored images simply by tapping.

We’re also getting a bit more than improved editing tools. Included in the latest update is a way to subscribe to accounts, and receive a notification when your favorite account posted a photo to Instagram, TechCrunch notes. Simply tap on the top right corner of an account and select “Turn on Post Notifications,” from the menu.

Instagram’s update is rolling out Android first. It’s available today on Google Play, and the company says the iOS version 6.10.0 is coming in the next few days.
