You know what’s not sexy? Cloud services. It’s hard to score clients in the sprawling, cash-glutted hellworld of enterprise technology, which is bested in unsexiness only by SaaS (software-as-a-service, aka anything other than Sex-as-a-Service).
It’s so hard out there for cloud companies, in fact, that thought-leader Fortacloud is trying a bold new tactic: tacking hot ladies onto whatever it is that they do.
We were admittedly distracted by this tweet’s conflicting cases (FORTAcloud in mixed-yell-caps > FortaCloud), but the important part is that this VPS provider is having a monster sale on dedicated servers and also this woman is there for some reason.
Not everyone is happy with the sale, though. Maybe the promo code didn’t work?
FortaCloud quickly quieted the public outcry with a thorough and reasonable explanation for tweeting a photo of a nearly naked woman who is not actually available with its half-off coupon.

Okay.

That is the definition, after all.

This strategy seems to be going well. Unsexy tech companies, we hope you’re taking notes.
