There are few words in the media world more terrifying than “Donald Trump is in the news again,” yet here we are.
This time, the famously quaffed host of NBC’s The Apprentice and luxury hotel/casino owner is making extra sure that all eyes are on him, with his recent announcement that he is forming an exploratory committee to help determine whether he should run for president in 2016. As anyone who has paid cursory attention to the last several years of American politics will surely remember, this isn’t the first time Trump has threatened to run for office.
But with the formation of this committee, it seems as if he’s more determined than ever to be taken seriously this time. In an interview with Time magazine, Trump said, “The country is in serious trouble. I’ve never seen anything like it. With me running things, all these countries throughout the world will not be ripping off the United States anymore.”
Donald Trump should be taken more seriously than Ben Carson. He has more experience pretending to run for president. http://t.co/H7KfXZ8795

There’s no reason to cover Donald Trump for President unless you hate your readers and yourself.

Ted Cruz makes Sarah Palin look brilliant, Donald Trump look sane, Mitt Romney look principled, and Frank Underwood look honest. #UniteBlue

So remember this: Trump’s mission is to turn the volume up to 11 and rip off the knob. Not because he wants you to listen to what he’s saying, because he wants to make it impossible for you to hear anything else.
