Wake up, sheeple.

John Oliver is diving into the rabbit hole.

The late-night host looked at YouTube conspiracy videos—or, as he put it, “science fiction for people who don’t know they’re watching science fiction”—during an off-week of Last Week Tonight.

While Oliver knows that theories demonstrating how Katy Perry is JonBenét Ramsay are wrong, he’s completely jealous of the people who make them. They believe wholeheartedly in their conspiracies and make them sound almost plausible. And they’ve surely been more fun to make than Oliver’s more recent segments, on serious topics that easily lend themselves to conspiracies.

Feeling left out, Oliver decided to make a conspiracy video of his own, this one about how an Easter staple is really part of a much bigger picture. Cadbury Eggs taste terrible, so why do they appear in stores every January? The trail leads us in a disturbing direction.
