There is no more universal theme for women than the sheer agony of having her period each month and all nasty side effects that come with it. That’s why Korean pop star Lizzy’s video for her song “Good Bye (PMS)” is so relatable and makes you wonder how someone hadn’t already done it.

PMS (premenstrual syndrome) is personified in the video as a man, obviously. More specifically, a man dressed in a devil costume. The costume feels a bit redundant, but we understand she really wanted to drive the point home. We watch as Lizzy struggles with acne, gets tempted by delicious food and gets generally harassed by a man—err, by PMS.

But eventually she takes some medicine and gets sweet retribution by actually punching PMS square in the face. If only.

If ever there was a villain worth conquering, it’s this cruel monthly visitor.
